Solo Jazz
Improvers' Charleston Choreo
During the Improvers’ course we focused on Kick variations in Solo Jazz. Kicking forward, backward, sideways, double kicking, holding, landing on two feet, inserting breaks and working with the music as baseline for our movement. This choreography uses
- squat charleston
- a house variation (1-kick 2-kick 3-4 down etc)
- basic charleston
- tap turn (1-rock 2-step 3-step 4-tap 5-kick 6-step 7-kick 8-hold)
- single kicks forward
- rocks (hallelujah)
