Slow Swing

Delayed triples, walks, gliding

First two Slow Swing classes in a reverse order.

First class content was gliding, which is eventually floating around the dance floor with steady 8-count basic rhythm. You can make it more interesting adding different shapes, directions and rotations.

Second class was about delayed triples, walks and different feels. On our Slow Swing basic triples we like to focus on delayed feeling creating a strong syncopation with our footwork. The triples we practiced went as “together and open” on feet while the body goes as “out and in” related to our partner.

We also practiced changing triples to more “hold step” feeling while getting inspiration from the blues dance.

Finally we added side-by-side walks to our basic. On a video you see bunch of extra stuff as well.
